I somehow doubt it, but is there anybody on my little network of readers who can point me in the direction of a comfortable pair of safety glasses?

I am so tired of trying to find these IRL... I guess I'm going to have to order online, but jeesh, how are you to know if they are going to be comfy?

But I am tired of the pair I have... cheap pieces of junk that they give us at work. Bah.

It's also time to invest in another pair of steel toed shoes... I'm trying to get another couple of months out of this pair... if I can make it to June it'll be a year, which isn't too bad for $90 Timberlands.

This job makes you buy the oddest stuff.

So, ever since I heard Geocities was going to be given the boot, I've been trying to remember to set aside some time to go through all my favorites and look for Geocities links in the hopes I could rescue some fics I used to read.

I really hate to see the old links go... and I especially hate trying to figure out how to rescue the links & fics. I really hate downloading somebody's fic without permission, but damn I hate for it to be lost to me too. (Selfish, I know.)

Yet, I am finding this to be a daunting task. Sites like The Rogue Sanctuary have so many link and several of those are geocities links too. I know the wayback machine will help even if I can't get this done quickly... which I won't, b/c when I'm daunted like this, i tend to avoid doing things. (Hmmm... is this why I'm writing a post about it?)

But, I do wish I knew if other people were doing the same things... trying to rescue fics that is.
